Bio

Gary Sappier of Tobique, NB is a multi-instrumentalist whose music is a unique combination of Aboriginal flavoured rhythms and contemporary rock. Since 2003 the aboriginal pop-rocker has produced three CD's and garnered four East Coast Music Award nominations and is a solid fixture in Canada's east coast music scene.

In 2003 Gary started his singer/songwriter musical career when he released his debut self-titled CD. This got him two ECMA nominations and and a showcase on the 2005 season of the Roger's cable program "Songwriters Circle".

In early 2006, Sappier released the CD "Wanted". This produced an East Coast Music Award nomination in 2008 and a headlining showcase performance at ECMA week in Fredericton, NB. This album led to some other notable gigs including the 2007 Canadian Premier's Conference in Moncton, NB and a showcase on the 2007 season of the Roger's cable program "Songwriters Circle".

In 2008 Gary laid it on the line for the troops by going on a two-week Afghanistan tour with a cavalcade of other musicians and entertainers including Susie McNeil, The Fables, Ty Taylor and Tracey MacDonald. The trip was documented and presented on national CBC radio with host Marshall Button.

In 2009 Gary released his third CD entitled "Project III" which was nominated for a 2010 ECMA. Currently Gary is preparing for a performance at the 2010 ECMA's in Sydney, Nova Scotia in March.

Although Gary is a multi-instrumentalist and plays guitar, keyboards and bass (in addition to singing) on his recordings he uses a variety of New Brunswick musicians for recording and live performances. Some of these musicians include the following:

Tim Sisson - Drums
