Forrest "Bean" Delisle - Vocals
Greg Hatchard - Guitar / Bass / Drums
The Verbicidal Tonebenders started in 2005 with a single objective - to appease the gods of rock and roll. Rooted in New Brunswick, Canada these intrepid songsmiths have toiled since then to submit a collection of classic rock inspired sonic offerings that will hopefully please the gods for many a harvest to come.
2009 saw the release of their self-produced first cd entitled "Sleepover At The ATM". It was recorded in 2006 at Stinky Foot Studios in New Brunswick, Canada and features twelve original songs penned by the Tonebenders. Vocalist Forrest "Bean" Delisle says "Sleepover is a transcendental rock and roll cacophony of musical insight dusted with a delicate balance of herbs, potions and magic elixirs." Guitarist Greg Hatchard simplifies the statement by adding "our style is basically classic rock dipped in Canadian bacon grease and soaked in beer."
Although there are many contributors to the Tonebenders musical juggernaut the core members and primary songwriters are vocalist Forrest "Bean" Delisle and guitarist Greg Hatchard. Forrest and Greg hail from the sleepy New Brunswick town of Perth-Andover nestled along the beautiful upper Saint John River valley. Both have been playing in cover bands for many years and finally decided to sit down and produce some songs of their own in the form of The Verbicidal Tonebenders.
In addition to his Tonebender duties guitarist Greg Hatchard has been working with original artists Lazy Bulldozer, Dan Brayall, 420 Express and Gary Sappier of the Gary Sappier Experience. Notable gigs with GSE included the 2007 Canadian Premiers Conference in Moncton, NB and the 2008 East Coast Music Awards in Fredericton, NB.
Greg has many non-musical interests as well including rubber boot modeling and sewing mittens from belly button lint. His favorite color is light grey.
When vocalist Forrest is not writing Tonebender classics or performing at high-energy Tonebender gigs he can usually be found cruising in the "Bonewagon". Recently returned from a Saskatchewan one-man tour of the flatlands Bean is currently on a short hiatus in Perth-Andover whilst contemplating his next move.
In his spare time Bean enjoys celebrity macaroni sculpturing and collecting road kill recipes. His favorite color is dark grey.
